Remembering the Holocaust

Writer: Mira KirshenbaumMira Kirshenbaum

...for International Holocaust Rememberance Day

When a terrible thing happens, to just you or me or to millions of people, life can't be about remembering that terrible thing, or about carrying the burden of that memory endlessly around with us. Life, the opportunity of having life, is about allowing new life to happen, about new beginnings.

But we can never let the memories of what happened die. And we can never fail to learn the lessons we need to learn from what happened.

With love and hope to you all,

Mira
